Pruning & Pest Control

When it comes to pruning leaves and stems typically pruning snips are enough for both stems, leaves, and trimming. The most popular of these are the:

Fiskars Non-Stick Pruning Snips

Being one of the best available on the market with a number of more economical options also available such as:

Vivosun Pruning Snips

Just be sure that whatever you choose for it to have a micro tip for better control.

Pest Control

There are a number of organic pest control options, most of which are able to deal with a wide array of bugs. The ones I recommend are:

SM-90: Mold, mildew, spider mites, aphids, thrips & whiteflies
Spinosad: Spider mites, aphids, thrips, whiteflies, caterpillars, crickets, grasshoppers
Neem Oil: Mold, mildew, spider mites, aphids, thrips, whiteflies, caterpillars, crickets, grasshoppers, fungus gnats, mites, mealy bugs, scales

Azamax: Same as Neem Oil
Insecticidal Soap: Mildew, spider mites, aphids, thrips, whiteflies, crickets, grasshoppers, mites, mealy bugs, scales
Sticky Traps: Flying insects
Copper Foil Tape: Snails & slugs
Bacillus Thuringiensis: Caterpillars

Note that while a lot of the above options cover a wide range of insects - the best way is to rotate more then one option to maximize the changes of getting rid of / preventing an infestation. It is also worth investing in a:

Pressure Sprayer

Which creates a finer mist when compared with a spray bottle for more even coverage.
